As a reminder and update, The LaCaille Group, a Calgary developer, has put forward a development proposal for Signal Hill.  To be located at 1919 Sirocco Drive SW (currently Signature Park Plaza), this mixed-use “age-in-place” re-vitalization project will be known as Signature Parke Village, and contain a blend of residential, retail and commercial facilities — including high-rise residential structures.
The development is currently at the Land Use Redesignation phase, with an application having been made to the City of Calgary for re-designation to Mixed Use 2 (“MU-2”).  Information on the application and the implications of MU-2 can be found at the following website, along with an opportunity to submit comments.

An Open House was held on Oct 17th, with representatives from LaCaille, S2 Architecture, the City of Calgary (planner & Ward 6 councillor) and your SHCA in attendance.  If you were unable to attend and have comments or feedback on the development proposal, please refer to the websites above and/or send us a note at president@shca.ca .
We are currently compiling all of the community feedback received both at the Open House and through direct emails, and sharing all of this information with the groups mentioned above.  We will also be preparing a formal response to the Land Use Redesignation Application for submission to the City and review with the developer.
