As many of you may know, our winter rink operation for hockey and general skating is a very popular and appreciated service provided by your community association. We have been very fortunate to have a team of dedicated volunteers over the years that spend many hours each season clearing and flooding both rinks to keep ice quality and enjoyment levels high. This year many of these volunteers have returned, however they are in need of some additional support to complete the required complement.
Past experience is nice, but not required. The team will gladly teach you the fine art of rink building and maintenance.
- Ice Resurfacing Team – Daily rink flooding and snow clearing. Commitment is 1 hour per week. We have openings evenings and weekends.
- Snow Clearing Team – Removing snow from the ice surfaces when it snows. Available when required by weather.
- Maintenance Coordinator – Rink Handyman, help maintain rink and coordinate repairs with volunteers where possible or outsourcing more demanding jobs.
