Here's a wonderful example of neighbours helping neighbours.

A local senior in our community had an idea: to bring seniors together through the simple, creative act of sewing. So they took the initiative, reached out to the MPC Foundation (a nonprofit serving seniors), and together they are launching a Seniors Sewing Club right here in Signal Hill.

This club is organized by a senior, for seniors, and now they need your support to make it a success.

This is a free opportunity for seniors (ages 55+) to learn embroidery, stitching, and mending in a relaxing, creative environment, all in the good company of neighbours.

Whether you're a beginner or just looking to brush up your skills, all are welcome. The focus is on turning fabric into something beautiful, one stitch at a time, and getting to know others in the community.

These first two sessions are a pilot. If there's strong interest, the club will continue with ongoing sessions.

So here's the ask: come out and show your support. Bring a friend. Register for the sessions. Help this senior's idea take root and grow. This is community happening in real time, one neighbour stepping up, and the rest of us showing up.
