Monday, April 20, 2026 is the official start of Calgary's annual spring street sweeping program. Crews run Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and work their way through every community in the city between now and the end of July.

What it means for Signal Hill: most of our streets are swept in the late-April to mid-May window. Signs go up 24 hours before the sweeper arrives on your block, so if you see a "No Parking" sign, move the car before 8 AM the next morning.

Avoiding the $80 ticket:

• Move your car off the signed side of the street before 8 AM
• Don't leave trash / green / blue carts on the curb the morning of the sweep
• Don't rake yard waste into the street, illegal dumping and it plugs the sweeper
• Check the City's map the morning of, not just the week before, routes shift a day or two based on weather
