Alberta Health Services (Alberta Healthy Living Program) and Calgary Public Library are running a free nutrition workshop at our Signal Hill Library branch, and they reached out asking us to share it with the community.

What it is: a one-hour info session on why protein matters, especially as you age, and practical ways to get more of it into everyday meals. Hosted alongside the library's Seniors Social Drop-in Club, but anyone's welcome.

The details:

  • When: Thursday, April 30, 2026 · 1:00 – 2:00 PM
  • Where: Signal Hill Library, 5994 Signal Hill Centre SW
  • Cost: Free. No registration required, just show up.
  • Presented by: Alberta Healthy Living Program + Calgary Public Library
Poster & full flyer: Download the PDF

Questions or to get on AHS's distribution list for future workshops: call 1-844-527-1160 (Mon–Fri, 8 AM – 4 PM) or visit ahs.ca/ahlp.

Good excuse to check out the Signal Hill branch, and a practical session for anyone supporting an older neighbour or parent with their nutrition.
