Property tax due June 30, last call to join TIPP for monthly payments
The City mailed 2026 property tax bills in May. If you own a home in Signal Hill, you have two options before the deadline.
Option 1, pay the lump sum
Due Tuesday, June 30, 2026. You can pay through your bank, by cheque, or online at calgary.ca/mytax (the secure portal also shows your current bill and four prior years).
Option 2, join TIPP and pay monthly
TIPP is the Tax Instalment Payment Plan. Same total as your annual bill, but split into 12 smaller monthly withdrawals instead of one large June payment. Once you're enrolled you don't have to re-apply each year, the City just rolls you over and adjusts the instalment when your bill changes.
Most Calgary homeowners are on TIPP. It makes budgeting easier and removes the risk of a late penalty.
- Sign up online: calgary.ca/TIPP
- Enrolment has to be complete by the due date on your tax bill, June 30
- Already on TIPP? Same link shows how this year's instalment was calculated
If you do nothing
The City adds a late payment penalty on July 1. Worth ten minutes of admin to avoid.
