If you have a question about roads, transit, planning, parks, public safety, utilities, waste and recycling, or your tax bill, the City of Calgary is bringing the people who actually run those programs into one room a few minutes from Signal Hill.

Ward 6 City Departments Open House

Councillor John Pantazopoulos' office is hosting it as a drop-in. No agenda, no presentation, you just walk up to whichever department's table is relevant to what's bugging you and ask. Departments confirmed include roads, transit, parks, planning and development, public safety, utilities, waste and recycling, and tax and assessment.

Why it's worth the trip

For Signal Hill specifically, this is a good one if you've ever had a question that fell between the cracks:

  • The kind of thing that isn't a 311 complaint but isn't a 911 call either
  • A planning or rezoning question about your block
  • Anything to do with how your property tax was assessed
  • Questions about the rec pathway, park maintenance, or street sweeping schedule
You usually get a phone tree or a contact form. June 15 you get a person.

Registration is free but helps them plan the room. If you can't make it, you can always email the Ward 6 office directly.
