They've been part of this neighbourhood for years, and a lot of the two-wheelers zipping around our streets got their start, and their confidence, at a Pedalheads camp. Coming to teach, right in the neighbourhood

Here's the part we're most excited about. Pedalheads isn't just putting their name on a banner. They're bringing their instructors to our own basketball court and outdoor rink to teach kids to ride, from the very first wobbly push all the way up to confident road-ready riding. Every level, a few steps from home.

That's about as good as it gets for a community: no driving across the city, no hunting for a safe flat spot to practice. Just bring your kid and their bike to a space they already know, and let the pros do what they've done for four decades.

Four decades of getting kids riding

Pedalheads has been at this since 1986, and in that time they've helped more than 700,000 kids learn to ride, swim, and play. Their whole approach is built around skill-building and confidence in a fun, supportive environment, which is exactly why parents keep coming back season after season. Beyond biking, they also run swim and sports programs for kids, so there's usually something for every age and every interest.

The thing we love is that it lines up perfectly with what we're trying to do here: get kids outside, active, and part of the neighbourhood. A kid who learns to ride is a kid who explores their community for the rest of their childhood.
