Ever wonder what your neighbours are calling the City about? The Ward 6 July 2026 Community Report includes a 311 breakdown by community, and Signal Hill's is a tidy little portrait of the neighbourhood.

Over the reporting period, Signal Hill logged 363 service requests, about 12% of all 3,002 requests across Ward 6.

No surprise at the top: carts (missing, broken, or blue-cart questions) make up the single biggest chunk of what we call in about. After that it is a very "summer in a leafy neighbourhood" mix, trees, street cleaning, long grass, and potholes.

The takeaway

311 works, and it is the right tool for exactly this kind of thing. A broken cart, a pothole on your street, a dead animal in the lane, an overgrown yard: report it at 311 (call, the 311 app, or online) and it gets logged, routed, and tracked. Every one of those 363 requests is a neighbour who took two minutes to make the block a little better.
